Back in my teenage years, I wasn’t exactly a model kid. I was running with the wrong crowd and making some pretty dumb decisions. By the time I hit 20, I was drifting with no direction—no college, living paycheck to paycheck, no real goals.
Then, one day, I made a DECISION to turn things around. I decided to stop messing up and to distance myself from the people who were dragging me down. I was ready to do whatever it took to become a career firefighter—a life filled with GIVING, MEANING, and IMPACT.
That was in 2001. Through a lot of hard work and dedication, I managed to change my path. I became the man I always knew I could be. I’m still a firefighter, and it’s been a fulfilling journey that most people don’t get to experience.
But by the end of 2018, something was missing.
Life was good—I had a solid job, a great family—but I felt like something was still off. I knew I was meant for more, but I couldn’t quite figure out what.
One day, I read something that hit me hard: “Do Something That Sucks Every Day.” It made me realize how easy it is to fall into a routine and become too comfortable. Wake up, go to work, come home, repeat. No wonder time seems to fly by!
Comfort Zone = No Growth
Comfort is where growth goes to die. If you want to grow, you have to challenge yourself and step out of your comfort zone. So I decided to shake things up. I thought, “I’m terrible at running, so why not go for a run?”
I ended up running 10 miles that day. And did I mention I really suck at running? By the end, I was exhausted, my knee was on fire, but I felt AMAZING. I had pushed myself, and I wanted more of that.
Enter the “Suck List”
Inspired, I made a list of challenges for 2019 to push myself out of my comfort zone. I had no idea this would completely change my life. I completed almost every challenge and even added a few extras. I learned that by putting myself in uncomfortable situations, I could tackle tasks I once thought were impossible.
So, What’s Next?
At the end of 2019, I wondered, “What now?” I started to figure out my purpose. I realized my mission is to become infectious—to spread the infection of BECOMING: becoming your best self, becoming a light for others in the dark.
How Do I Spread This Infection?
I needed to find out how to help others discover their own path and guide them to their own light. This journey led me to the Prime Movers Community and this event.
I’ve been following Russell Brunson for years and bought into his mission. I did the One Funnel Away Challenge back in February 2019 and was inspired, but struggled to take action.
Despite my passion for marketing, I felt stuck in real estate, unfulfilled. I loved learning about marketing, but it never seemed to click.
When the Linchpin book came out, something finally clicked. I thought, “Why not build funnels for others?” So I started studying funnels with a new mindset—one of a builder, not just a seeker.
By the time Funnel Hacking Live rolled around, I felt ready. I met people who confirmed I was on the right track. I committed to becoming the best funnel builder I could be and signed up for the program.
A New Beginning
Now, I’m building funnels and working towards my Master Funnel Builder Certification. This event has reignited my passion and clarity. I’m excited about the journey ahead and ready to help others on their path.
Thank You
